The Sociable Kitchen® by Kvik
As a company that makes and sells Danish design kitchens in 180+ stores in 13 countries, we think a lot about Danish design. In our first series, we’re going to be taking a closer look at Danish design - talking to designers, artists, activists and thinkers who will help us figure out where Danish design has been and where it’s headed.
So, if you’re curious about Danish design, come along for the ride.
Our feed also contains stories from some of our talented franchisees around Europe. If you're looking for a franchise opportunity with great products and lots of support, have a listen and get inspired.

The Copenhagen Brief is a special edition of The Sociable Kitchen® podcast, recorded live at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen.
Instead of asking Danes to define Danish design, Kvik invited four respected European voices to step outside the Danish design bubble and see it through fresh eyes.
What followed was a conversation that quickly moved beyond furniture, kitchens and aesthetics. Together, design journalist Renske Schriemer, colour expert Sara Garanty, trend researcher Marisa Santamaría and designer Saskia Huebner explored belonging, atmosphere, craftsmanship, sustainability and the deeper idea that the spaces we create shape the lives we live.
Can design be both democratic and aspirational? Do we really need more products—or simply better reasons to make them? And what happens when we stop talking about objects and start talking about people?
Inspired by this year's 3daysofdesign theme, Make This Moment Matter, The Copenhagen Brief isn't intended to be the final word on Danish design. It's a snapshot—a moment in time that captures how some of Europe's most thoughtful design voices see Denmark today.
Because perhaps the best design doesn't ask for our attention.
It simply helps make the moments that matter possible.
